| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Emir of Bahrain, depicted wearing a traditional keffiyeh secured by an agal, with a draped bisht at the shoulders. The portrait is rendered in high relief in a restrained, dignified style characteristic of proof coinage. The field is deeply mirrored, unadorned by inscriptions, allowing the effigy to dominate the obverse. The design is the work of British sculptor and medallist Michael Rizzello. |
