Opmerkingen

Training notes of this type were produced for bank cashier instruction ahead of the euro's January 2002 cash introduction — one of the largest simultaneous currency changeovers ever coordinated, covering twelve countries in a single rollout. The 500 denomination was included specifically because cashiers needed to develop tactile and visual familiarity with the highest-value note before it entered general circulation, where errors carried obvious consequences.

Kalina's original plate designs were adapted for these practice pieces; the precise relationship between the training stock and the official print run varies by national central bank, and provenance documentation is often absent.
