Additional information

Issued as part of Monnaie de Paris's ongoing "Monuments de France" program, this coin was struck the same year UNESCO added the Palace and its gardens to a joint management plan aimed at addressing chronic subsidence damage to the Hall of Mirrors ceiling — repairs that had been debated and deferred for over a decade. The 155.5g specification places it in the five-troy-ounce category favored for high-denomination collector bullion, a format Monnaie de Paris had been refining since the early 2000s.

Mintage for this issue was capped at 99 pieces.
