| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a finely detailed profile view of the Concorde supersonic aircraft in flight, depicted in three-quarter perspective with characteristic ogival delta wings and drooped nose cone. The monogram 'RF' (République Française) appears prominently in the upper field above the aircraft. The Air France logo roundel is shown to the right of the aircraft. The arc legend 'LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ' curves along the upper periphery, while the name 'Concorde' is inscribed in bold stylized lettering below the aircraft, followed by the date '2009' and the commemorative inscription '40e ANNIVERSAIRE' denoting the 40th anniversary of the aircraft's maiden flight. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued the year of the Concorde's definitive retirement anniversary, this piece belongs to Monnaie de Paris's "L'Aventure du Siècle" series commemorating Franco-British technological ambition. Air France and British Airways grounded their fleets in October 2003 following the July 2000 crash of Flight 4590 at Gonesse, which killed all 109 aboard plus four on the ground — an accident traced to a titanium strip shed by a Continental DC-10 on the same runway minutes earlier.
At 155.5 grams of .999 gold, these were produced in very limited quantities and marketed primarily to institutional collectors. Mintage figures for this denomination in the series rarely exceeded a few hundred pieces.
