To the left, a circular watermark-style seal bears a tall ship and the legend 'BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO / LISBOA 1864'. A bold black letterpress overprint strip reading 'PAGAVEL EM TIMOR' is applied across the upper portion of the note.
