| Obverse description | The Armenian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an eagle and a lion supporting a shield quartered with symbols of historic Armenian kingdoms, surmounted by a sword, an olive branch, a sheaf of wheat, and a chain. The Armenian legend ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ arcs along the upper rim, while the date 2013 appears to the lower left of the arms and the fineness mark Ag999 to the lower right. The denomination 500 DRAM • ԴՐԱՄ is inscribed in large numerals and dual-script lettering across the lower field, with REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA completing the legend along the bottom rim in Latin script. |
