| Reverse description | The eighth letter of the Armenian alphabet, Ը, is rendered in large, ornate form at the centre of the field, with elaborate interlaced floral decoration filling its left vertical stroke in a traditional Armenian manuscript illumination style. The complete Armenian alphabet encircles the central letter along the periphery, forming a continuous legend around the entire coin. The overall design celebrates the classical Armenian script created by Mesrop Mashtots in the 5th century AD. |
