Obverse description The obverse displays the Singapore Arms of State centrally in the field, featuring a shield charged with a crescent moon and five stars, supported by a lion rampant to the left and a tiger rampant to the right, with a scroll below bearing the national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA. The legend SINGAPURA arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, flanked on the left by the Tamil inscription சிங்கப்பூர் and on the right by the Chinese characters 新加坡, all rendered in frosted relief against a mirror-polished field. The date 2004 appears in the lower central field, with the English legend SINGAPORE inscribed along the lower rim. The Singapore Mint mark is present in the lower right field.
