Reverse description A stylized goat stands in profile facing left at center, rendered in high relief against a deeply recessed mirror-polished field decorated with elaborate auspicious cloud scrollwork and floral motifs in the Chinese artistic tradition. The cyclic year designation 癸未 (Gui Wei, corresponding to the Year of the Goat) appears in archaic seal-script characters at the top of the field. The denomination $500 is inscribed in large numerals at the lower center, with the legend 5 TROY OZ 999.9 FINE GOLD arcing along the lower border.
