| 表面の説明 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, engraved by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, with a pearl drop earring and a draped neckline visible. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left rim, while ROYAL VISIT 1985 arcs along the right rim. The engraver's initials RDM appear truncated beneath the portrait. A fine beaded border frames the entire design. |

Belize issued this coin to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's 1985 royal visit, one of relatively few occasions she made to Central America. The .917 gold specification places it in the traditional crown gold standard rather than the finer .999 bullion issues becoming fashionable among Commonwealth mints at the time.
KM#101 was struck in low proof quantities and was not intended for circulation — at face value it was essentially theoretical, given the gold content alone vastly exceeded what the denomination implied in Belizean dollars.
