At 155.533 grams — five troy ounces — this denomination sits at the upper end of the standard Koala proof range, produced in strictly limited quantities with mintages typically under 100 pieces globally.
The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was adopted by the Perth Mint beginning in 2019 after its introduction on UK coinage in 2015. Clark's effigy replaced the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait that had served Australian coinage since 1998.
