| Описание реверса | The reverse presents a richly colourized high-relief scene depicting the busts of Pharaoh Amenhotep IV and Queen Nefertiti facing one another in an intimate composition. Amenhotep IV is shown to the left wearing a blue and white striped nemes headdress adorned with a uraeus cobra and embellished with red gemstone accents, and holds a crook sceptre in his left hand. Nefertiti appears to the right wearing her characteristic blue flat-topped crown decorated with red and cream coloured panels and a uraeus, and is adorned with a broad blue usekh collar necklace and gold circular earrings. Both figures are rendered in polished silver-toned relief against a warm gold field, with hieroglyphic motifs incised in the left field and stylised palm fronds visible at the right, evoking the artistic conventions of the Amarna period. |
