The reverse is dominated by a detailed cartographic vignette of a historical map of Jamaica at centre, rendered over a blue and violet guilloche underprint with large latent-image numeral '500' in the background. At lower right, an intaglio vignette depicts the historic waterfront buildings and fortifications of Port Royal, labelled accordingly. A secondary transparent window at left carries a greyscale portrait vignette of Nanny of the Maroons and Samuel Sharpe, with the denomination '500' visible through the window. |
