| Obverse description | Bimetallic coin with a copper-coloured central disc set within a nickel-plated brass outer ring. The centre features an elaborate Arabic calligraphic composition rendering the Shahada — the Islamic declaration of faith — in ornate script occupying the full field of the inner disc. The outer ring bears the Arabic legend 'سلطنة دارفور' (Darfur Sultanate) inscribed along the upper arc, with the English legend 'DARFUR SULTANATE' along the lower arc, flanked by small decorative rosette stops at the sides. |
