| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina occupies the upper central field, depicting a shield charged with a diagonal band and six fleurs-de-lis, supported by stylised acanthus-scroll mantling on either side. Below the shield, a detailed rendering of the Old Bridge (Stari Most) of Mostar spans the lower field, flanked by the characteristic towers of the bridge complex. The circular legend REPUBLIKA BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 1996 inscribed at the base, flanked by small decorative ornaments. The Pobjoy Mint mark PM appears in the lower field between the date numerals. |
