| 表面の説明 | Left-center vignette of Jovan Cvijić (1865–1927), the eminent Serbian geographer, rendered in intaglio in a three-quarter portrait facing right, set against a multicolored guilloche underprint incorporating a stylized world map with cartographic grid lines in pink and blue tones. The large numeral '500' appears in the upper right area, with the denomination in Cyrillic and Latin script ('petsto dinara') printed diagonally in the center. A small coat-of-arms device is visible at lower center, and the issuer's name 'НАРОДНА БАНКА СРБИЈЕ' runs vertically along the left margin. |

The 2004 Serbian dinar series, of which this is part, followed the redenomination that stripped a zero from the Yugoslav dinar successor currency in 2003 — the Narodna Banka Srbije rebranding itself mid-series as the country navigated post-Milošević monetary reconstruction. ZIN in Topčider has been producing Yugoslav and Serbian currency since the interwar period, giving it an unusual continuity of function across radically different political orders.
