Most countries under comparable military pressure relied on foreign printers; Bosnia's government made a deliberate point of maintaining domestic production capacity even as infrastructure around it collapsed.

The 1994 series suffered from severe hyperinflation almost immediately upon issue, rendering high-denomination notes like this one functionally obsolete within months of printing.
