备注

By 1983, Yugoslavia's federal monetary system was already fracturing under the weight of republican debt guarantees and an inflation rate that would reach triple digits before the decade ended. The 500 Dinar note entered circulation into that deteriorating environment — within a few years, successive redenominations would make it functionally worthless, and new notes of staggeringly higher face values would follow in rapid succession.

Zavod za Izradu Novčanica, the state's own security printing facility in Belgrade, produced the entire series domestically — a point of national industrial pride that became increasingly irrelevant as the presses struggled to keep pace with monetary collapse.
