Reverse description Central device features the Imperial Iranian Lion-and-Sun emblem: a lion passant to the right with a rising radiant sun issuing from its back, holding a sword upright in its right forepaw, standing on a ground line. Above the lion, the Qajar crown is depicted. The entire device is encircled by a wreath of oak leaves and branches. The denomination ۵۰۰ دینار is inscribed in Eastern Arabic numerals and Arabic script on a ribbon or tablet at the base of the design beneath the lion.
