Reverse description Central device depicts the imperial Iranian emblem of the Lion and Sun: a passant lion facing right with a rising sun radiating rays from its back, the whole set upon a plain ground. Below the lion appears the denomination in Eastern Arabic numerals. The central device is surrounded by an elaborate wreath of oak leaves and acorns tied at the base, with a reeded border encircling the entire design.
