Obverse description The obverse centres on an intaglio-engraved vignette of the National Bank of Vietnam headquarters building at right centre, printed in red over a multicolour guilloche underprint. The bank title NGÂN-HÀNG QUỐC-GIA VIỆT-NAM runs in red across the top, with the denomination numeral 500 at upper right and NĂM TRĂM ĐỒNG at lower right; two manuscript signatures appear at bottom centre above the titles TỔNG KIỂM-SOÁT and THỐNG ĐỐC. Ornate lathe-work rosettes occupy the lower left corner, with decorative guilloche scrollwork filling the remaining field.
