| Obverse description | The central intaglio vignette portrays the Casa Natal de Sandino, the rustic birthplace of Augusto César Sandino, set over a multicolour guilloche underprint in yellow and pink tones. The denomination numeral '500' appears in large red letterpress at left and in a microtext-filled format at lower right, with 'BANCO CENTRAL DE NICARAGUA' and 'QUINIENTOS CÓRDOBAS' inscribed across the upper register; a colour-shifting holographic disc is affixed at upper right. Two serial numbers, a vertical security thread, and a facsimile signature of the President of the Banco Central de Nicaragua complete the design. |
