| Obverse description | Black intaglio on multicolor guilloche underprint. An oval portrait vignette of poet Rubén Darío occupies the center, framed by fine scrollwork, with large numeral counters reading '500' to either side. The bank title and 'DEPARTAMENTO DE EMISIÓN, MANAGUA' appear at the top, with the denomination 'VALE POR QUINIENTOS CÓRDOBAS' in a bold panel below the portrait. Three signature lines with printed titles run along the lower margin, and the series date appears vertically along both side borders. |
