Obverse description Central field bears a three-quarter facing portrait of Dr. Clement Anderson Akrofi M.B.E., Ghanaian linguist and scholar, rendered in low relief. The legend 'DR. C.A. AKROFI M.B.E.' curves along the upper periphery, while the birth and death years '1901' and '1967' flank the portrait at mid-field. The denomination '· 500 CEDIS ·' appears in the lower portion of the field, separated from the portrait by a raised inner border.
