Descrizione del dritto	Printed in brown and black, the obverse carries an oval intaglio portrait vignette of Simón Bolívar in military uniform at the left, set against an elaborate guilloche underprint centred on the large numeral '500'. The bank title 'BANCO DE VENEZUELA SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA' arches across the upper margin, with the serial number repeated at both left and right, while the legend 'VALE POR QUINIENTOS BOLIVARES' appears in bold letterpress below the central design. A manuscript signature is present at the lower centre.

Descrizione del rovescio	Engraved entirely in blue, the reverse presents the Venezuelan national coat of arms as the central vignette within an intricate lathe-work frame, with the circular legend 'BANCO DE VENEZUELA' arching above and below the arms. The denomination numeral '500' is repeated in each of the four corners within ornate guilloche borders. The imprint of the American Bank Note Company is printed at the lower margin.
