| Descrizione del dritto | The Panamanian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by crossed rifles and swords, a cornucopia and a shovel, a sun rising over the Isthmus, and a flying eagle above bearing the national motto 'PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO' on a scroll. Nine five-pointed stars arc above the shield in the upper field. The circumferential legend 'REPUBLICA DE PANAMA' runs along the upper rim, while the denomination '500 BALBOAS' is inscribed along the lower rim. Below the shield in the exergue appears the fineness statement '900/1000 ORO FINO' flanked by the Franklin Mint mark. |
