| Additional information |
Part of a broader series of lunar-themed issues produced for Rwanda by the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou, this coin's gemstones are set using the same pavé technique employed in fine jewelry manufacture — individual stones pressed into pre-drilled recesses and secured by displaced metal rather than prongs. Rwanda has become one of the more prolific issuers of novelty bullion in sub-Saharan Africa, licensing its monetary authority to produce collectibles with essentially no domestic circulation intended.
