正面描述	The obverse features the national coat of arms of Rwanda centrally positioned within a series of concentric circular elements, depicting a traditional hut flanked by a sorghum plant and a coffee branch, surmounted by a sun and supported by a knotted rope, with the national motto UBUMWE-UMURIMO-GUKUNDA IGIHUGU inscribed on a scroll below. The upper legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the outer rim, with the fineness mark AG 999 at the left field and the date 2011 at the right field. The denomination AMAFARANGA 500 MAGANA ATANU is boldly inscribed along the lower periphery of the coin.
