正面描述	The obverse features the national coat of arms of Rwanda prominently in the centre, depicting a traditional Rwandan basket (agaseke) flanked by a coffee branch and a sorghum stalk, with a sun above and a knotted rope below bearing the national motto. The arms are set within a circular raised border. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the upper field, with AG 999 and 1/2 oz inscribed to the left and the date 2013 to the right. Along the lower portion of the coin, the denomination AMAFARANGA 500 MAGANA ATANU is inscribed in two segments flanking the numeral 500, all within the silver outer ring.
