| 背面描述 | Colorful enamel-filled central field depicting a yellow and brown monoplane, representing the Spirit of St. Louis, in flight against a blue background map of the Atlantic Ocean. The Statue of Liberty appears in the left field, with a small circular portrait medallion of Charles Lindbergh in the upper right. The date 1996 is inscribed on the plinth of the Statue of Liberty at the base of the design. The circumferential legend THE WORLD OF ADVENTURE arcs along the upper border and CHARLES LINDBERGH along the lower border, both in raised Latin lettering within the uncolored silver rim. |

Afghanistan issued this coin in 1996 under the Da Afghanistan Bank while the country was in the opening months of Taliban consolidation — an odd moment to be minting commemoratives honoring a American aviation hero. The piece belongs to a wave of Afghan silver issues from the 1990s produced almost entirely for the collector export market, with no meaningful domestic circulation intended or achieved.
Lindbergh's 1927 transatlantic crossing had no particular connection to Afghanistan, which makes the subject selection purely commercial — licensed themes that would sell to Western collectors.
