| Opis awersu | The obverse is printed in violet on white paper, centred on a dense guilloche underprint of three interlocking rosette medallions flanked by circular lathe-work ornaments at each corner. The bold letterpress legend "GUTSCHEIN ÜBER ½ MILLION MARK" occupies the upper left, with the issue date "Hannover, den 15. August 1923" to its right, while the arms of Hannover — a rampant white horse on a red field — appear at lower centre between the joint-issuer legends. The names of twelve regional towns form a decorative typographic border along all four margins. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse is printed in grey on white paper, dominated by a large heraldic eagle vignette with spread wings above a decorative cartouche containing the redemption text in letterpress. A second spread-eagle device serves as an ornamental divider between the legends of the two co-issuing bodies named at lower left and right, with four facsimile manuscript signatures across the bottom — two per issuing chamber — above the repeated date "Hannover, den 15. August 1923". The same twelve regional town names border all four margins in matching typographic arrangement to the obverse. |
