| Obverse description | Plain cream paper note with an all-over guilloche underprint in a repeating circular pattern. The denomination "Fünfhunderttausend Mark" is set in large bold letterpress type within a decorative geometric border frame at centre, above which the legend "Gut für" appears. The issuer's name "Klöckner-Werke A.-G. / Abt.: Hasper Eisen- und Stahlwerk" is printed in bold type below the denomination, with the date "Haspe, den 7. August 1923" and a note of redeemability at the Hauptkasse. A series letter "G" appears at upper left, with a serial number at upper right, and two manuscript signatures are present at the foot of the note; the printer's imprint "G. Kannengiesser, Haspe" is found at the bottom margin. |
