| Obverse description | Olive-green and violet Notgeld Gutschein on plain paper, the face framed by an elaborate guilloche underprint of interlocking rosette and wave patterns forming a scalloped border. The denomination "Fünfhunderttausend Mark" is set in large Gothic blackletter across the upper portion, with the numeral "500000" reserved in white within a central pale rectangular panel, below which two lines of Gothic text state the obligation of the Stadthauptkasse zu Pößneck, the issue date "Pößneck, den 11. August 1923", and two manuscript signatures beneath the titles of the Gemeindevorsteher/Bürgermeister and Gemeinderat/Vorsitzender. The printer's imprint "C. G. VOGEL, PÖSSNECK i. Th." appears at the foot of the note. |
