| Reverse description | The reverse, also printed in purple on cream paper, centres on a finely engraved vignette of the Kirchplatz in Neviges showing traditional half-timbered buildings beneath a clouded sky, captioned 'Kirchplatz', flanked left and right by denomination panels reading '500 000 Mark' in Gothic script with small ornamental devices below each. The lower section carries the issue date 'Neviges, den 15. August 1923', the issuing authority, a manuscript mayoral signature by i.A. Hochstein, a stamped serial number, and the circular municipal seal of Stadt Hardenberg-Neviges, while the solid-purple foot band repeats the issuer name in white Gothic lettering. |
