| Obverse description | Orange and dark brown Notgeld note with a geometric diamond-pattern underprint across the central field. The issuer title 'Notgeld der Stadt Wetter (Ruhr)' is set in Gothic blackletter at the top, above the large bold numeral '500 000' and the denomination spelled out as 'Fünfhunderttausend Mark'. A circular city seal of Wetter (Ruhr) appears to the lower left, alongside a redemption clause in italic script, the issue date 'Wetter (Ruhr) den 27. August 1923', and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister and Beigeordneter.
