| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note divided into two panels by a vertical rule. The left panel carries an oval vignette of a multi-storey half-timbered town building with a tall chimney stack and billowing smoke, rendered in fine line engraving and initialled 'W.S.' at lower left; the border repeats the denomination in Gothic script. The right panel bears the issuing authority title in Gothic blackletter at the top, followed by series designation 'Reihe B' with a manuscript serial number, the denomination in large Gothic display type, the payment clause in Roman script, the date 'Hattingen, den 10.
