Obverse description Predominantly blue and orange intaglio print on a multicolour guilloche underprint. Portrait vignette of writer Ricardo Palma at right, rendered in fine line engraving; the Peruvian national arms at centre, flanked by ornate guilloche panels and a vertical segmented foil security thread at left. Three facsimile signatures appear below the arms, with the titles DIRECTOR, PRESIDENTE, and GERENTE GENERAL.

Reverse description Blue and purple intaglio print over a multicolour guilloche underprint. Central vignette presents the facade of the Iglesia de la Caridad in Lima, rendered in detailed architectural engraving with twin bell towers and an arched portal, flanked by street buildings and a tree at left. Denomination numerals appear at upper left and lower right within guilloche cartouches, with the printer's imprint of Thomas De La Rue and Company Limited at lower right.
