| 表面の説明 | The face is dominated by a large numeral '500000' in bold letterpress, set against a fine guilloche underprint incorporating repeating fleur-de-lis motifs across the entire field. The national arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina appear at the upper right, accompanied by the bilingual title of the issuing bank in Latin and Cyrillic scripts. The denomination is stated in three lines below the numeral in both Croatian and Bosnian languages, with a date of 1 January 1994 and a governor's signature at the lower right. |

Printed at the Oslobođenje facility in besieged Sarajevo during the 1992–1995 war, this note was produced under conditions that were, by any measure, extraordinary — the printing house itself sustained shell damage during the conflict. Bosnia's wartime hyperinflation pushed denominations into the hundreds of thousands, making this 500,000 Dinara issue one of many emergency high-value notes churned out in rapid succession as purchasing power collapsed.
Paper quality and print registration on this series are notoriously inconsistent, a direct consequence of supply shortages during the siege.
