| Obverse description | Pink and dark grey letterpress note with the denomination spelled out in large blackletter Gothic script across the centre field, set against an oval pink guilloche underprint at left. The series letter and serial number appear at upper left and upper right respectively. Below the denomination, a block of typeset text states the terms of acceptance and validity, dated Bonn, 18 September 1923, followed by the red circular Bonn City Coat of Arms stamp and two manuscript signatures, attributed to the Lord Mayor and the Bonn Chamber of Commerce. |

| Reverse description | Entirely printed in pink, the reverse carries the denomination in large blackletter Gothic script at top and bottom — "Fünfhundert" and "Millionen" — flanking a central oval guilloche band bearing repeated numeral values. Within the oval, the Bonn City Coat of Arms is rendered as a fine typographic vignette, flanked on either side by large blackletter letters "B", "O", "N", "N" set within rose-engine guilloche rosettes. The printer's imprint appears at the bottom margin. |
