背面描述 The reverse of the underlying 100 Millionen Mark note is printed in dark blue-grey, with the denomination '100 Millionen Mark' repeated in large bold sans-serif type at the top and bottom of the design, enclosing a central rectangular text panel bearing the legal warning against counterfeiting and the recall clause, all within a multi-ruled guilloche border. The overall layout is typographic with no pictorial vignette, relying on the geometric border ornament for decorative effect. A red diagonal overprint reading 'Fünfhundert Milliarden' is applied diagonally across the reverse, consistent with the revaluation stamp on the obverse.

备注

Bayerische Notenbank occupied an unusual position in Weimar-era Germany — unlike the Reichsbank, it was a regional issuing institution with authority specific to Bavaria, one of several state banks permitted to issue emergency currency during the hyperinflation spiral of 1923. This note belongs to the final, dizzying phase of that crisis, when denominations became obsolete faster than new plates could be engraved. Rather than printing fresh 500 Billion Mark notes from scratch, existing 100 Billion Mark stock was overprinted — a stopgap that itself became outdated within weeks.

The Rentenmark stabilization of November 1923 rendered the entire series worthless almost immediately after issue.
