| Reverse description | Armoured bust of Władysław I the Elbow-high (Łokietek) in right profile, depicted after the portrait by Marcello Bacciarelli as interpreted in the medal by Jan Filip Holzhaeusser, his features derived from his tomb effigy in Wawel Cathedral. The king wears a crested helmet with chain mail and elaborate Reiter-style armour richly decorated with engraved ornament. The engraver's initials V.P.H.F. appear in the lower field below the bust. The circular legend VLADISLAUS LOCTICUS SEU CUBITALIS. is divided by the bust, running along the upper rim. |
