| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse features a finely detailed right-facing draped bust of King Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki, depicted in a voluminous curled allonge wig cascading over his shoulders and an ornately embroidered robe, rendered in high relief in a Baroque medallic style after a period prototype by engraver J.J. Reichel. The portrait fills the majority of the field, with the king's strong profile and lace-trimmed collar rendered with exceptional sculptural depth. The legend MICHAEL KORYBUTH. appears along the upper arc of the rim in spaced capital letters, with a dot stop to the right. Below the bust, in the lower field, the engraver's signature I.I. REICHEL. F. is inscribed in small capitals. |

Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki, elected king of Poland in 1669, is one of the more historically awkward figures in the long series of elected monarchs commemorated by the NBP. His reign coincided with the catastrophic Treaty of Buchach in 1672, signed under Ottoman military pressure, which ceded Podolia and obligated Poland to pay annual tribute — the only such humiliation in Polish royal history. The Sejm refused to ratify the tribute clause, but the territorial losses stood until Sobieski reversed them at Khotin the following year, months after Wiśniowiecki's death.
