OBIIT ORBUS / NIVERNIAE IN GALLIA / A.D. 1672. AETAT: 61. The outer legend along the upper rim reads RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA • 50 ZŁ, with the denomination flanking the right side. The mint year 20 21 appears at the bottom of the field, flanking the Polish eagle emblem of the Mint of Poland (MW), rendered in fine relief. The overall design closely replicates the style of a 17th-century commemorative medal, with the epitaph text evoking the funerary inscriptions of the Baroque period. |
