He is depicted wearing a diademed crown and a draped mantle secured at the shoulder by a decorative brooch, his bearded and long-haired effigy rendered in the bold, monumental style characteristic of the Polish commemorative series of this era. The arcing legend 'MIESZKO I' appears along the upper left periphery, with his regnal dates '960-992' continuing to the upper right. The word 'PRÓBA', denoting trial strike status, is inscribed in the right field. |
