Obverse description The Polish state eagle — a crowned, spread-winged heraldic eagle — occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with detailed feathering. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1982 is divided on either side of the eagle's body, accompanied by the mint mark MW. The denomination ZŁ 50 ZŁ is inscribed in large characters across the lower field, flanking the eagle's tail. The design is characteristic of the People's Republic of Poland coinage series, engraved by Anna Jarnuszkiewicz.
