| 正面描述 | The Polish state eagle displayed at center, rendered with spread wings, a crown, and detailed feathering in high relief, set against a polished field. The denomination '50' appears in large numerals at the lower center, flanked by the currency abbreviations 'ZŁ' to either side. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the date '1982' and mint mark 'MW' are positioned symmetrically at mid-field to left and right of the eagle. |

Boleslaus III Wrymouth — who famously divided Poland among his sons in a 1138 testament that fractured the kingdom for nearly two centuries — was a recurring subject in Poland's communist-era commemorative program, which used medieval rulers to project historical continuity the regime itself lacked. This nickel trial strike from 1982 predates the issued copper-nickel circulation commemorative, surviving in tiny quantities distributed among NBP archives and approved collectors.
The ParM and Fischer references both catalog this as the nickel trial variant, distinct from the aluminum and cupro-nickel trial pieces struck in the same sequence.
