| 正面描述 | Within an arched, shield-shaped flan, the obverse presents a centrally positioned Polish state eagle with wings spread, rendered in high relief against a polished field. To the left of the eagle, two crossed scythes — emblematic of the Kościuszko Uprising — are depicted in fine detail alongside a pair of military pikes or lances. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2024' arcs along the upper border in Latin characters. The denomination '50 ZŁ' is inscribed in the lower field beneath the central devices. |

| 背面描述 | The reverse, set within the same arched shield-shaped flan, presents a high-relief neoclassical scene depicting three figures — presumed to represent participants of the 1794 Kościuszko Insurrection — standing before a decorative architectural backdrop with a richly ornamented pediment above. The central figure appears in a commanding pose flanked by two companions, one bearing a weapon, evoking the spirit of the popular uprising. The inscription '230. ROCZNICA INSUREKCJI KOŚCIUSZKOWSKIEJ' (230th Anniversary of the Kościuszko Insurrection) is engraved along the lower portion of the field. The overall composition draws on late 18th-century relief sculpture aesthetics, emphasizing patriotic and historical gravitas. |

The Kościuszko Uprising of 1794 was the last serious attempt to preserve Polish sovereignty before the Third Partition erased the country from the map entirely. Tadeusz Kościuszko, fresh from his service in the American Revolutionary War, led a coalition of regulars and scythe-armed peasant volunteers — the kosynierzy — against Russian and Prussian forces. The revolt failed by November, and the Third Partition followed in 1795, ending Polish statehood for over a century.
NBP's commemorative program has grown increasingly ambitious with its 2-troy-ounce .999 fine issues, and this entry belongs to that heavier tier reserved for subjects of particular national gravity.
