Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse depicts a symbolic commemorative composition marking the fifth anniversary of South Ossetia's recognition by the Russian Federation. At the upper portion, a stylised scroll bears the legend 'УКАЗ ПРЕЗИДЕНТА РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ О признании Республики Южная Осетия' (Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the Recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia), surmounted by the Russian state emblem. Below, a relief map of South Ossetia occupies the central field, flanked by the dates '2008' and '2013' denoting the recognition and anniversary years respectively. A traditional Ossetian ceremonial sword is depicted vertically over a stylised feast table or pirogi in the lower field. The inscription 'МАЙРÆМЫ МÆЙ 26' (26th of May, the feast day) appears along the bottom in bold raised Ossetian Cyrillic lettering.
