50 Zamoranos

The Gobierno Bolivariano de Cojedes is one of Venezuela's regional state governments, and the "Zamoranos" denomination takes its name from Ezequiel Zamora, the 19th-century federalist general who remains a ideological touchstone for Chavista political culture. These regional complementary currencies — sometimes called "comunas" money or local exchange notes — emerged under Venezuela's hyperinflationary collapse, when bolivar-denominated cash simply ceased to function practically in daily transactions. Several Venezuelan states experimented with parallel scrip systems around 2017–2019.

Whether this note saw meaningful circulation or remained largely symbolic is genuinely unclear; documentation on regional Venezuelan scrip from this period is sparse and often contradictory.
