Beschrijving voorzijde The national emblem of the People's Republic of China is depicted centrally, featuring Tiananmen Gate surmounted by five stars and framed by sheaves of grain tied with a ribbon at the base, all rendered in high relief against a polished field. The legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs around the upper periphery in Chinese characters. Decorative scrollwork borders frame the design, and the year of issue, 2013, appears in the lower exergue.

Aanvullende informatie

China's Lunar Gold series operates on a strict annual rotation, but the Snake year issues have historically attracted subdued secondary market interest compared to Dragon or Horse years — a pattern that has kept premiums relatively compressed on this particular strike. The People's Bank has issued Lunar gold in this approximate size since the early 1980s, though design execution and finish quality improved markedly after production responsibilities were consolidated at the Shenzhen and Shanghai mints in the 1990s.

KM#2094 corresponds to the 1/10 troy ounce denomination within the 2013 Snake series, one of several fractional gold pieces issued that year alongside 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz coins.
